Hoshiarpur, January 7
A BSc Nursing pupil allegedly dedicated suicide at a hostel room of a school on the Hoshiarpur-Chandigarh highway right here, police stated on Thursday.
Sarbi Kaushak, a resident of Parei village (Bajrer) of Kangra in Himachal Pradesh, had come to Hoshiarpur for her examination on January 3 and was staying at a Rayat Bahra School hostel, police stated.
She was discovered hanging from the ceiling fan, police stated.
Police handed over the physique to her household for cremation after post-mortem.
Investigating officer Naresh Kumar stated no suicide observe was discovered within the room. The reason for suicide is but to be ascertained, he added. — PTI
